HAIR OF THE DOG

Hair of the Dog got together in 1993. Original members were Chaz James on Drums, Jazz Ball on Guitar & backing vocals, Dan Murphy on Lead Vocals and Riko Burrows on Bass Guitar & Backing vocals. We spotted Danny Murphy singing for a band called Rough Justice at a local gig and when Euphoria split we all got together and formed 'Hair Of The Dog' in 1993 doing Classic Rock Covers. We regularly packed venues and people loved it. We packed it in after Danny had a rather nasty motorbike crash in April 1994. Now Ten years on 'Hair Of The Dog' are back with an all new classic line up and classic Rock. Dan Murphy on Vocals, Riko Burrows on Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals, newly joined Dave Jackson on Drums and Jazz Ball on Guitar & Backing Vocals. Sam Carter was Drumming from June 2003-04. We Cover songs by Foo Fighters, Hendrix, Queen, Chili Peppers, Thin Lizzy and many other classics.

EUPHORIA

Euphoria was my most successful band for gigs/song writing and musicianship experience. It was first treated as a musical project to enhance each members musical ability and to try something different and create something new. The songs consisted of mainly original material, with a few selected covers ranging from sky's "Toccata", to numbers by Joe Satriani through to Hawkwind.
We had done lots of successful gigs in and out of Cambridgeshire with a very healthy local and national following. The band played at the Mildenhall Rock and Blues Festival in August 1989 supporting Rory Gallagher, Uriah Heep, Engine, and the Hamsters. This led to a rave review in Kerrang Magazine. (# 252 19th August 1989). We had also played at the Cambridge Strawberry Fair 3rd June 1989, and Covent Gardens "Rock-Garden", London 1989, plus making it through to the final of Radio Ones rock war show in November 1989. The band came close to a deal with Chapel Records, but money and band polices dictated the end as a unit.
Jazz and myself carried on with instrumental recording projects.
